Willie E. "Hillbilly" Stewart

Willie E. “Hillbilly” Stewart, age 63, a native and resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Mobile. He loved living, fishing, hunting anything outdoors and a good Western.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Stephanie “Steph” Stewart of Bay Minette, AL; his daughter, Lucy (Ray) Jacobson of Perdido, AL; his sons, Daniel (Courtney) Bartlett of Columbus, GA and Edward “Gene” (Samantha) Dudley of Reynolds, GA; his grandchildren, Gage, Lane, Lizzy, Sophie, Dakota, Logan, Kallen and Carter; his siblings, David (Patricia) Stewart of Bay Minette, AL, George “JoJo” (Theresa) Stewart of Pigeon Forge, TN, Lynn Stewart of Perdido, AL, Jamie (Debbie) Stewart of Lottie, AL and Ginger (Judson) Stabler of Century, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dougal and Carrie Stewart and his best friends, Wayne Buck and Danny Stewart.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Catrett, Cory Fay, Brad Stewart, Damian Stewart, Kyle Williams and Jon Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Long, Kaleb Nolte and Asher Catrett.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Norris Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
