He was preceded in death by his parents Early and Naomi Lisenby, brother Alfred and sisters Dorothy, Flora, and Thelma, along with his beloved pups, Jasmine, Bella, and Baxter.
Will was born December 3, 1943, in Brewton, Alabama. He was the seventh son of the seventh son and proud to say it. He married Nina in 1996, and they enjoyed traveling and playing cards. They lived in Clarksville, TN then moved to Bay Minette, AL, eventually moving north to Cedar Rapids, IA to be closer to family. Will loved to tell stories about growing up in Alabama with his brothers and sisters, boating, fishing, hunting, and attending gatherings at the family round house in Barnett Crossroads, AL. Will worked for Exxon before becoming a full-time over-the-road truck driver with his Peterbilt truck until he retired.
Will selflessly donated his body to the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. His family and friends are grateful he is at peace, and he will be dearly
