Vivian Lane Ward, a 90, a native and resident of the Rabun Community was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Vivian was born June 10, 1932 to the late Mattie Hadley Lane and the late Luke “Buddy’ Lane. During her lifetime, she worked as a CNA in Houston, TX, employed by Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile as a night watchman/guard and retired from Gayfers as a salesperson. She was a member of Guy’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Viola Lane Cafagna of Sulphur, LA and Vada Jean Lane Hall of Rabun; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Tinnie Lane of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by Lowell Ward; brothers L.C. Lane and Leroy Lanes and a sister, Velma Lane Hall.
Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Guy’s Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Gill White and Reverend Joe Allen Ward officiating.
