Virgil Walton Waldrop, Jr.

Virgil Walton Waldrop, Jr., age 86, born in Phoenix City, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at North Baldwin Infirmary. He retired from Standard Furniture.

He is survived by one son; Richard W. (Helen) Waldrop of Bay Minette, AL; two sisters, Rachel Singleton of Bay Minette, AL and Becky Thomkins of Archdale, NC; his longtime companion, Beulah Grimes of Bay Minette, AL; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Virgil Gene Waldrop and Huey William “Bill” Waldrop; six brothers, Jee Dee McTaggart, Claude McTaggart, Cecil McTaggart, Cliff McTaggart. Doyle McTaggart and Eugene Shorty McTaggart and one sister, Betty Hobbs.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Full Power Holiness Church with Reverend Joe Welch officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Full Power Holiness Church
