Vergil Edward Brock

Vergil Edward Brock, age 83, born in Cullman, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Atmore Nursing Home. He was a retired truck driver for Boyd Brother Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his companion, Emma Floyd of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Vergil Lee (Hallie) Brock of Gulf Shores, AL, Rose Marie (Danny) Kiourkas of Tacoma, WA, David Brock of Tacoma, WA, James (Meka) Brock of Ovet, MS and Dorothy Brock of Laurel, MS; one sister, Frances Lord of Vinemont, AL; fifteen grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Southern Cancer Center, 29653 Anchor Cross Blvd., Daphne, AL 36526.
