Thomas Sullivan “Tommy” Sanks, Sr., age 72, born in Atmore, AL and a resident of the Dyas Community died Friday, January 10, 2025 at his residence. He was a retired thermal form operator at Dental-Ez. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served during Vietnam.
He is survived by his children, Thomas Sullivan “Tom” Sanks, Jr. of Dyas, Elisha Sanks of Dyas and Kylie Ann Forrester of Daphne, AL; two brothers, Ronnie (Julie) Sanks and Ricky (Candace) Sanks all of Dyas; two sisters, Sandra (William) Boatwright of Nokomis, AL and Donna (David) Weatherford of Bay Minette, AL; two grandchildren, Chayndlar Blake Anderson and Forrester Jammes Anderson; two special nieces, Diamond Alyse Jones and Zoe Lynn Anderson and a host of other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sullivan and Nell Shiver Sanks; his wife, Elizabeth Ann Boyington Sanks; one brother, Billy Sanks and one sister Patsy Sanks Bouler.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Don Sanks officiating. Burial will follow at Perdido Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Andy Boatwright, Johnny Brinkman, Mark Hadley and Randy Sanks.
