Thelma (Langham) Little

Thelma Langham Little, age 96, born in Blacksher, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Robertsdale Health Care Center. She was one of eleven children born to the late Laudy Langham and Maude Drew Langham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ayres C. Little.

She enjoyed a life of beauty care after graduating from Baldwin County High School in 1944. She opened Thelma’s Beauty Shop and soon after acquired the franchise Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio which she operated for 69 years in downtown Bay Minette. To know Thelma was to love her. Every customer was special to her and usually at their death she would go to the funeral home to make sure their make-up and hair style was becoming for their homecoming.

She is survived by one son, Danny Mitchell Little of Bay Minette, AL; three grandchildren, Melissa Price Byrd, Jason Price and Danny Mitchell Little, II; two great grandchildren, Jayden Delani Byrd and Sarah Little; one sister, Sheron (Al) Johnson of Fairhope, AL and one brother, Tommy Langham of Bay Minette, AL.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ayre Sue Little Price; great grandson, Jensen Daniel Byrd and eight siblings, Polly Minor Sanders, Deanie Herman, Bobbie Dunn, Betty Doss, Lee, Lloyd, Alec and Billy Langham.

Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Minister Billy Lambert officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 3, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Danny M. Little, II, Scott Langham, Ken Langham, John Langham and Miles Johnson.
