Simon Hadley, age 84, born in Perdido, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He retired after 39 years from International Paper Company as a machine operator. Simon was a man of God since he got saved in 1978. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and was a big Alabama football fan. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Allan (Brenda) Hadley of Silverhill, AL; one sister, Carrie White of Rabun; his grandchildren, Amy Deloris Stephens, Josh Ryan, Jeffrey Ryan and Desiree Latour and great grandchildren, Noah Stephens, Avery Stephens, Chloe Ryan, Fisher Ryan, Maddalynn Latour and Emma Latour.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Ann Brown Hadley; his parents, Tom and Lillie B. Stewart Hadley and siblings, Ernest Hadley, Verlon Hadley, Clyde Hadley, Buford Hadley and Mary Lynn.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Ray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Lottie Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 2, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Ryan, Joey Brown, Wade Butler, Charlie Joiner, Derrick Joiner, Blaine Hyatt and Wayne Childress.
