Sidney Allen Bowers, Sr.

Sidney Allen Bowers, Sr., age 80, born in Elizabeth, TN and a resident of Theodore, AL died Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Providence Hospital. He was a retired truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Jernigan Bowers; his children, Sidney Allen (Beann) Bowers, Jr., Tamy (D.L.) Hopsen and Hoppee Barnette; stepson, James Edward Currier; ten grandchildren and ten gret grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters; one stepdaughter and his parents.

Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Flomaton, AL with Reverend Gerald Manning officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
