Ruby McDonald Obituary

Ruby Grace Little McDonald passed away peacefully on September 26, 2021. She was born December 12, 1929 in Mobile, AL to Joseph Samuel Little and Mittie Tolbert Little. She married James W. McDonald in October 1950 and was happily married until his passing in August 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mittie Little, son James Raymond McDonald, son in law Terry McMillan, step grandson Christopher Still and siblings, Elizabeth Tolbert, Green Little, Kathleen King, Henry Little and Aubrey Little.

Ruby is survived by her children Charles “Ricky” McDonald, Bobbie Jean McMillan, Alan (Tammy) McDonald, daughter-in-law Carman McDonald, and step son Ken (Cheryl) Still. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Bridget (Robby) Wilson, Jodie (Scotty) Smith, Timothy (Nara) McMillan, James “Bubba” McMillan, Jennifer (Jamie Clegg) McMillan, Sandy (Keegan) Homan and Victoria McDonald; as well as step grandchildren, Julie Hand, Jason (Annesia) Miller, Thomas “Pnut” Cooper, Tammy (Johnny) Davis, and Stephanie (Dewayne) Howard. She enjoyed numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Ruby devoted her time and love to her family as a homemaker and the worlds best “Granny”. Many have enjoyed her love of the kitchen as she always opened her doors with a greeting smile and plenty of food such as her mouth-watering pound cakes and delicious sweet potato casserole.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Richie Nobles officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Timothy McMillan, James “Bubba” McMillan, Robby Wilson, Scotty Smith, Keegan Homan, and TJ McMillan. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi McMillan, Sam McMillan and Jamie Clegg.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Church of God Youth Group, 10777 County Road 138, Bay Minette, AL 366507.
