Roy Rodgers Williams, age 88, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL went to be with the love of his life, Jean on their 62nd wedding anniversary Sunday, February 22, 2026. He was a retired burner for Jeffery Steel in Mobile. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by one son, Kevin Roy (Tammy) Williams of Stapleton, AL; one daughter, Karen W. (Tom) Ashfield of Stapleton, AL; siblings, Melba Jerkins, of Stapleton, AL, Helen Sanders of Robertsdale, AL, Andy Williams of Summerdale, AL, Linda Johnson Brown of Stapleton, AL., Dusty Williams of Stapleton and Craig Williams of Stapleton; grandchildren, Tammy (Joey) King, Nichole (Joshua) Styron and James (Stacey) Payne; great grandchildren, Gracie King, Layla McConnell, Damien Payne, Annie Payne, Harper Payne and Riley Payne and special friends, The Gordon Family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Williams.
Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Reverend Allan Lawhorn officiating.
