Roy Mason Smith

Roy Mason Smith, age 79, born in Brewton, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Friday, May 5, 2023 at his residence. He was a retired boiler operator at Baldwin Pole and Piling.

He is survived by his children, Christopher W. Smith of Bay Minette, AL, Sonja Smith Vandergriff of Bay Minette, AL, Scott Smith of Bay Minette, AL and his four legged son, “CJ”; two brothers, Wayne (Jypsia) Smith of Appleton, AL and Riley (June) Smith of Appleton, AL; one sister, Joyce Madden of Appleton, AL; five grandchildren, Cody Allen Arthur, Hannah Marie (Ryan) Walter, Destany Villanueva (Alex) Davis, Shawn Derek Wilson and Crystal Lasha Smith and five great grandchildren, Ashlyn Smith, Skyln Smith, Raylyn Smith, Caleb Wilson and Jeremy Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Pettis Smith; his parents, William Harrison and Ruth Tolbert Smith and a daughter-in-law, Danita Ward Smith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Derek Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Dillon Odom, Canyon Odom, Jerome Odom and Darren Banks. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Odom.
