Ronald Hermon Holly, 66, of Bay Minette, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Broughton Holly.
Ronald is survived by his son J.R. (Ashley) Holly; his daughter Carrie (Blake) Summers; four cherished grandchildren, Wilson, Reese, Murphy, and Rosalie; his brothers, Dewayne (Fran) Holley and Timothy (Stefania) Holly; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Ronald spent more than 30 years of his career working as a machinist, taking great pride in his craft and the work he accomplished with his hands. Outside of work, he was a devoted Auburn Tigers fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. He spent many years as a proud member of the Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, where he found fulfillment in helping others. Ronald was also a member of the 21st Alabama Infantry reenactment group, where he helped bring the history of the American Civil War to life. Christmas was Ronald’s favorite holiday, and each year he would spend countless hours decorating his home and yard. He loved sharing the Christmas spirit with his family, friends, and neighbors.
Above all, Ronald will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved, and the memories he created with them will be cherished for years to come.
