Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Flowers, age 73, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of the Pine Grove Community died Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Thomas Hospital. He was a retired shipfitter at C&G Boat Works in Mobile. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the National Guard.
He is survived by one son, Clayton Joel Flowers of Bessemer, AL; one brother, Martin (Anne) Flowers of Camden, AL and one sister, Judy DeFee Adams of Pine Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Clayton and Shirley Ann Weekley Flowers; his wife, Barbara White Flowers; a son, Ronald Wayne Flowers, II and a brother, David Earl Flowers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Flowers, Jeremy Flowers, Joel “Bubba” Williams, Michael DeFee, Perry DeFee, Lance Flowers and Jackson Flowers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
