Rocky Lynn Stewart

Rocky Lynn Stewart, age 65, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of the Rabun Community died Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his residence. He was a retired electrician at Chevron and also a carpenter for Joey Eady Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Marie Joiner Stewart of Rabun; two daughters, Tonya Stewart (JR) Gardner of Bay Minette, AL and Roxanne “Roxie” Stewart (John) Lee of Frisco City, AL; two brothers, Burk (Lucille) Stewart and Jerry (Carolyn) Stewart all of Rabun; five sisters, Barbara (Rayford) Hadley of Pine Grove, Joal Linette Thomas of Rabun, Sherry Jean Ryan of Pine Grove, Margie Stewart (Steven) Doyle of Crossroads and Shelia (Bryan) Foster of Rabun; two grandchildren, Kanen Gardner and Madalyn “Madi” Lee and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Sadie Lancaster Stewart; a brother, Billy Stewart and three sisters, Betty Allen, Marilyn Anderson and Janice Sims.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church with Reverend Henry Wilson, Sister Helen Stewart and Reverend Danny Ray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at New Providence Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until service time Monday at New Providence Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Hyatt, Corey Doyle, Derek Doyle, Ronnie Moore, Lonnie Sims, Lane Stewart, Devin Franklin, and Bert Joiner
