Robert "Bob" Fleming Obituary

Robert “Bob” Mitchell Fleming, a beloved resident of Stapleton, Alabama, was born in Bay Minette, Alabama on July 27, 1951 and passed away on May 26, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Bob’s presence touched countless lives throughout the years.

Bob was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor and dedication. Beyond his military service, he found passion and purpose in the discipline of martial arts, which remained a lifelong pursuit and source of pride.

Known throughout the area as “Bob the Barber,” he was more than just a craftsman of his trade—he was a friend to all who sat in his chair. His shop was a place of laughter, stories, and genuine connection, and his impact on the community will not be forgotten.

Bob was a true family man, cherishing every moment with his beloved wife, Ann. He leaves behind three sons: Daniel Fleming (Ana), Joseph Fleming (Karie) and Michael Fredrickson (Lisa); a daughter, Cheri Griffith (Carl); a sister, Gracie Anderson and a brother, Leary Fleming. His legacy also lives on in his grandchildren Trevor Murphy and Jacob Murphy, Katie Rhodes (Joe), Cory Rayborn (Sabrina), Victoria Kolb (Jackson), Wyatt Fleming, Kolson Fleming, and Peyton Fleming, Melkin Ramos Mira and Katerin Ramos Mira and three great grandchildren; Mia Rhodes, Emma Rhodes and Ellie Rayborn who brought him immense joy.

Bob will be remembered for his warm heart, strong spirit, and the love he gave so freely to family, friends, and neighbors. His chair may now be empty, but his memory will forever fill the room.
