Richard Allen "Rick" Gilbertson, Sr.

Richard Allen “Rick” Gilbertson, Sr., age 86, born in St. Paul, MN and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, April 1, 2024 at his residence. He was a retired Baptist Minister. He was a veteran of the U.S. Nacy and the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Pogue Gilbertson of Bay Minette, AL; two daughters, Dawn Patton of Sarepta, LA and Kristina (Stephen) Garrett of Fort Worth, TX; one granddaughter, Monique (Josh) Dyer and two grandsons, Lance Dyer and Preston Dyer.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Sadie Gilbertson and Jacueline Gilbertson; a son, Richard “Speedy” Gilbertson, Jr.; a sister, Judy Gilbertson and a brother, Bobby Gilbertson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Eastwood Baptist Church with Reverend Jud Harbison officiating.

Inurnment will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
