Rebecca "Becky" (Rogers) Clark

Rebecca Rogers Clark, age 72, born in Moss Point, MS and a resident of Bay Minette, AL passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Becky was born December 21, 1951, the youngest of seven siblings. Becky graduated from Moss Point High School class of 1969. She went on to study at Southern Mississippi and earned a BS and a Masters in Education. She also earned a Reading Specialist degree from the University of Phoenix.

After graduating from Southern Mississippi, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Jimmie Clark and they were blessed with two loving sons, Jeff and Mike. Becky made their home a warm and happy place to reside. She loved being a wife and mother and was blessed with the gift of soft spokenness and patience. Christ was at the center of the home she made for her family.

Becky taught at Baldwin County High School, the Vocational School and at retirement, she was teaching at Bay Minette Middle.

She was a life-long member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Community of Christ) where she served as an ordained minister as both a Teacher and an Elder. She was an integral part of her congregation and will be missed dearly. Becky prayed with unmatched dedication for all those she knew and those that she didn’t as well. She was a woman after God’s own heart.

Becky is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jimmie L. Clark; her son, Michael B. Clark; her sisters, Shirley Rawlin and Mary Ragan and her brothers, John Earl (Yvonne) Rogers and Jerry (Debbie) Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Lane Clark; her parents, Johnny and Lois Parker Rogers; her father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Nannie Clark; her brother, Joe Rogers and her sister, Brenda Hiestand.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Evangelist Larry Steiner, Elder Shelia Steiner, Bishop Stancil Wilson and Elder Kaye Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 25, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Jerry Matthis, Clint Rogers and Johnny Rogers as well as Danny Doerr, Tim Doerr, Jeremy Wison and Noah Wilson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Community of Christ, P.O. Box 1329, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
