Phillip Wayne McDaniel, Jr.

Phillip Wayne McDaniel, Jr., age 51, born in Birmingham, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL died Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at his residence. He was a scaffold foreman at Austal.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Janes McDaniel; his children, William Daniel Shultz and Heaven Leigh Shultz; his parents, Nancy Rushing Paul and Barry T. Paul; one brother, Josh (Patsy) McDaniel; two sisters, Paula Rushing and Kelly Ray; one grandson, Leo Alexander Boutwell; his father and mother-in-law, Homer and Shirley Janes; nieces and nephews, Andrea Moore, Aaron Rushing, Kaitlyn Porter, Emily Harris, Chris Ray, Chad Ray and Brandon McDaniel and nine great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 11:00 a.m. at Spice Pond Baptist Church, 8100 Spice Pond Road, Semmes, AL with Pastor Sandra Boutwell officiating. Reception immediately following the service.
