Patricia Ann "Pat" (Peavy) Tolbert

Patricia Ann Tolbert of Little River, AL passed away Friday, December 5, 2025 at the age of 81 at a relative’s residence in Little River, AL. She was employed with Frontier Communications, formerly Southland Telephone Company, in Atmore, AL for 30-plus years as a telephone operator and in customer service.  She loved being “Nana” to her three grandchildren.  She enjoyed baking and cooking.  She enjoyed working in her yard and working with her flowers.  She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. 

She is survived by her son, Jason Bradley “Brad” Tolbert, Sr., and daughter-in-law, Lorri Michelle Tolbert of Uriah, AL; grandchildren, Jordan Lorenza (Amanda Danielle Tisdale) Tolbert and Jaclyn Nicole Tolbert of Uriah, AL; great grandchildren, Shianne Braylee Tisdale and Deegan Richard Tisdale of Uriah, AL; brother, James H. (Brenda) Peavy and sister, Wanda S. Peavy of Little River, AL; brother-in-law, Leroy (Roylee) Tolbert, and sister-in-law, Sue Carol Williams; nieces, Miranda “Mandy” Peavy, Stacey (Matt) Ashmore, Peggy (Greg) Shaylor, Bobbie (Cecil) Caraway, Christie (Michael) Arrington, Nicole (Cody) White, Judy (Jerry) May, Julia (Tony) Stroud, and Maria Tolbert; nephews, Tony (Stephanie) Tolbert and Jason (Jacqueline) Williams; great nieces, Breanna Bowman, Taylor Mitchem, and Madison Bailey; great nephews, Andrew Bowman, Josh Bowman, and Noah Ashmore and many other great and great great nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 40 years, Harry T. Tolbert; grandson, Jason Bradley Tolbert, Jr.; her parents, Woodrow Fletcher Peavy and Clara Ethel Strickland Peavy; brother, Woodrow Fellas “Buddy” Peavy; father-in-law, Roy Tolbert; mother-in-law, Pauline Tolbert; brothers-in-law, William Tolbert, Joe Tolbert, Larry Tolbert, and Otis Tolbert; sisters-in-law, Imogene (Jeannie) Burgess, Catherine Williams, Mattie Turner, Geraldine Pugh and Diane Tolbert.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home, with the Reverend D.L. Harville officiating. Burial will follow at Mamie’s Chapel Cemetery in Little River, AL. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Following the graveside services, the family will be gathering at Harry and Pat’s Home in Little River, AL. 

Pallbearers will be Jason B. Tolbert, Sr., Jordan L. Tolbert, Tony Tolbert, Dalton Tolbert, Andrew Bowman and Josh Bowman.  Honorary pallbearers, Jason Williams, Dylan Tolbert, Bryson Tolbert, Bryan Hill, Matt Ashmore and Wade Bailey.

The Family would like to express their appreciation to the Staff of SouthernCare Hospice in Atmore, AL, the Staff of Amedisys in Bay Minette, AL, and neighbor, Shawnie Lynch, for the care and love given to Mrs. Tolbert over the last several years.

Flowers received will be greatly appreciated.  However, in lieu of flowers, memorial recognition for Pat may be sent to Mamie’s Chapel Cemetery Association at P. O. Box 67, Little River, AL  36550.
