Nettye Cornelia Miller Chastang, age 99, a resident of the White House Fork Community died Friday, March 15, 2024 at her residence. She was a retired seamstress at Vanity Fair.
She is survived by her children, Alice Long of White House Fork, Thelma (Tommy) Reid of Bay Minett, AL and David “Dale” (Wanda) Chastang of Loxley, AL; grandchildren; Cindy, Darlene, Janet, Daryl, Stanley, Dwayne, Bubba, Tonya, Tami, Kari, Wayne, David and Eric; twenty great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; two great great great grandchildren; Alison, Kelly, Bertha; other family and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierre William Chastang, Sr.; sons, P.W. Chastang, Jr., Teddy Chastang and Don Chastang; sister, Daisy Brown and grandchildren, Robin, Charlie and James.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the White House Fork Baptist Church with Reverend J.P. Lambert and Reverend Tony Banning officiating. Burial will follow at Chastang Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until service time at White House Fork Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Chastang, Daryl Long, Dwayne Reid, David Chastang, Wayne Chastang and Eric Chastang. Honorary pallbearer will be Bubba Chastang.
