Narvel Lee Poston, age 75, resident of the Crossroads Community died Sunday, April 16, 2023 in the comfort of his home. He was born September 13, 1947 in Mobile, AL to the late Novel and Leona Poston. Narvel was a dedicated employee at Armstrong Industries for 30 plus years. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and most of all his daughters and four grandchildren. Narvel loved all kinds of animals, livestock auctions, gospel singings, good food and Alabama Football. He dressed the “western way”, never met a stranger and was liked by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Judy Ann Miller Poston of Crossroads; his two daughters, Deirdra Springsteen of Bay Minette, AL and Dana (Justin) Reeder of Pensacola, FL; stepdaughter, Karen Reeves of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Blake Salakas of Milton, FL, Bailee (Jacob) Brown of Pensacola, FL, Brendan Reeder of Pensacola, FL and Cole Reeves of Ocean Springs, MS; sisters, Cathy (Jenks) Porter of Bay Minette, AL and Shannon (Billy Joe) Floyd of Bay Minette, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Poston.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Gipson and Reverend Johnny Spence officiating. Burial will follow at Creola Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Narvel’s “buddies”, Marvin Barlow and Steve Jackson and also to the special caregivers from Community Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Blake Salakas, Brendan Reeder, Cole Reeves, Daniel Porter, David Lee Bain and Zachary Bain. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Reeder, Marvin Barlow and Steve Jackson.
