Nancy (Moore) Ford

Nancy Moore Ford, age 68, born in Jacksonville, FL, raised in Merrit Island, FL and a resident of Tuscaloosa, AL died Friday, December 29, 2023 at her residence. She was a middle school math Teacher and cheerleader sponsor at Alba High School from 1979 to 1988. From 1988 to 2010 she was an advanced math teacher, cheerleader sponsor, senior sponsor, girl’s track coach for one year and named Coach of the Year in 1989 at Baldwin County High School and from 2010 to 2012 she was an advanced math teacher at Escambia Academy. In 2016 Nancy and Ricky moved to Tuscaloosa, AL

She is survived by her husband, Richard Charles “Ricky” Ford of Tuscaloosa, AL; her children, Raymond Moore Ford and Paige (Jeff) Koster both of Tuscaloosa, AL and two grandchildren, Rose Renee Koster and Danny Jett “DJ” Koster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold George and Myrta Green Moore and a brother, Harold George Moore, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
