Nancy Irene (Durant) Erwin

Nancy Irene Durant Erwin, age 88, a native and resident of the Bromley community died Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Atmore Nursing Home. She was a retired Registered Nurse for U.S.A. Medical Center.

She is survived by her niece, Jeannie Smith Barr of Stockton, AL; great nephew, Zachary Lane Kittrell; great nieces, Megan Smith, Bailey Robitzsch and Samantha Barr and step daughter, Linda Peoples of Birmingham, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jimmy Erwin; her parents, Seale and Elvie Durant; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Newman Smith and step daughter, Cheryl Erwin.

Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Cook Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Kim Vanbrimmer officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Cook Memorial Chapel, c/o Barbara Brantley, 37100 State Highway 225, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
