Myrtise Eugenia (Bayles) Gandy

Myrtise Eugenia Bayles Gandy, age 89, born in Franklin, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL died Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Malbis Free Standing ER. She was a retired secretary for Gandy Oil Company in Atmore. She was an avid Alabama fan, a prayer warrior, was excited about her new church, Five Rivers and loved her dog Ce-Ce.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Gandy Mothershed of Daphne, AL; nephew, Mitchell (Bunny) Bayles of Tuscaloosa, AL; a niece, Jane Bayles (Bob) Jones and her special fur companion Ce-Ce.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rayford Gandy and a brother, Glenn Haskew Bayles, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Price and Reverend Jim Fillingim officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Maxwell Jones, Billy Stroud, Alan Nicholas, Ken Coale and Mitch Bayles. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Peacock and the steering community of Five Rivers Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Fiver Rivers Church, 30941 Mill Lane Suite G, Spanish Fort, AL 36527.
