Michael Stevens "Hippy" Coker

Michael Stevens “Hippy” Coker, age 74, born in Monroeville, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Thomas Hospital. He was a retired residential carpenter. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Lamberth Roberts of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Heather Coker of Arkansas; two brothers, Bernard (Robin) Coker of Atmore, AL and William (Dion) Coker of Sylacauga, AL; two sisters, Pam (Terry) Byers of Jacksonville, FL and Linda Underwood of Abbeville, LA and three special grandchildren, Brycen Williams, Rylee Williams and Blake Hagen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Exie Reed; one brother, Donnie Reed and a son, Steve Hagen.
