Melvin Jerome Campbell

Melvin Jerome Campbell, age 79, born in Gadsden, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Brennity in Daphne. He retired after 34 years as an Education Supervisor with the Alabama State Department of Education.

He is survived by one son, Chad (Rachel) Campbell of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Kristi Smith of Bay Minette, AL; five brothers, Wesley (Pam) Campbell of Hokes Bluff, AL, Ray (Janet) Campbell of Hokes Bluff, AL, Garreth (Lynn) Campbell of Hokes Bluff, AL, G.W. (Myra) Campbell of Gadsden, AL and Fred (Jane) Campbell of Delta, AL; one siter, Jena Anne Campbell of Attalla, AL and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonnie Campbell and a son, Greg Campbell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 26, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at the First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Fred Campbell, G.W. Campbell, Ray Campbell, Chris Bouldin, Michael McKinley and Tanner Smith.
