Mazie Lee (Hadley) Guy

Mazie Lee Guy, 79, of Bay Minette, Alabama was born on October 10, 1946, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Mazie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Alvin Irwin; her parents, Walter and Jesse Hadley; her grandson, Keith Irwin Jr.; and six siblings.

She is survived by her four children: Keith (Sarah) Irwin, Mike (Janet) Irwin, Amy Irwin, and Shawn (Kim) Irwin. Mazie's legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Mazie is also survived by her sister Marie Sprinkle along with an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Redeemed by the blood of her Savior, Jesus Christ, Mazie is now in the presence of our Lord, rejoicing in a long-awaited reunion with those who went home ahead of her.  She now rests in the eternal peace she treasured.

Mazie lived her entire life along the Gulf Coast and her life reflected the bedrock values of the region: Christian faith, a devotion to family, and a loyalty to friendship that recognized no distance too far, no connection too remote to tend. She kept a running tally of cousins twice-removed and childhood neighbors scattered across the map, always circling back to ask after the folks 'down home,' never letting a thread unravel, never allowing the passage of time to fray the bonds she'd woven throughout her years.

Mazie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is with her Heavenly Father. We find solace in the certainty that she has made her final journey home, where all earthly distances collapse and every homecoming is complete.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Dickson officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Hamilton Baptist Church.
