Matthew Blayne Shackelford

Matthew Blayne Shackelford departed this world and entered Heaven on June 21, 2020. He was born on August 1, 2002 to Elizabeth and Matthew Shackelford. He was dearly loved and cherished by his step parents, Allie Shackelford and Jay Koziol. Blayne was an avid outdoorsman and golfer. He was a naturally bright child and a member of the Baldwin County High School Class of 2020. He planned to attend the University of Alabama in the fall on a scholarship to study engineering. He attended Bay Minette First Baptist Church. Blayne loved to smile and make others smile.

He is survived by his parents, Matthew Bradley (Allie) Shackelford of Bay Minette, AL and Elizabeth (Jay Koziol) McMillan of Bay Minette, AL; three sisters, Jordyn Shackelford, Mattie Shackelford and Ellie Shackelford all of Bay Minette, AL; his grandparents, Ronnie and Carol Malone of Summerdale, AL, Billy and Kathy McMillan of Bay Minette, AL, Barry and Pat Shackelford of Gulf Shores, AL and Hubert and Daphne Reed of Bay Minette, AL; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Starnes, Reverend Richie Nobles and Pastor Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at the First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Matt Shackelford, Chandler Bryan Peacock, Alexander James Davison, Kalen Bruce Kimber, Brenton Tyler Godwin, William Timothy Dumas, Tucker Luke McCraney, Landon Molyneux Jones and Matthew Shane Tuberville. Honorary pallbearers will be John Avery Blackmon and James Tyler Drinkard.
