Mary Ella Jernigan Obituary

Mary Ella Virginia Jernigan, age 87, born in Century, FL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Bill Jernigan of Geneva, AL, Ralph (Terri) Jernigan of West Moreland, TN, Rebecca Blakenship of Mobile, AL, Charles Jernigan of Bay Minette, AL and Raymond Jernigan of Austin, TX; two sisters, Martha (Wayne) Dewitt of Tallahassee, FL and Susan (Paul) Tonder of Pensacola, FL; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder William Howard Jernigan and two brothers, Thomas Adams and Melvin Adams.

Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Springhill Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Flomaton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be James Watson, Michael Watson, Dalton Watson, Jay Watson, Chris Jernigan and Corey Stokes. Honorary pallbearer will be Lee McDonald.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Covenant Care Hospice, 1040 Stanton Road Suite D, Daphne, AL 36526.
