Margaret Juanita “Nita” Day Pritchett passed away December 17, 2023, lovingly attended by her three children. She was born on Lookout Mountain in 1933 and spent most of her youth in Western Alabama. Nita was a 1951 Graduate of Greene County High School in Eutaw, Alabama.
For the past 55 years Nita lived mostly in Baldwin County in the areas of Bay Minette, Orange Beach and Fairhope. She was a realtor in the Gulf Shores area for many years, and was an avid gardener, card player and golfer.
She is survived by her children, John Pritchett, Jr., Jenny Phillips (Mike) and Linda Berthon (Stacey): five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one brother, Curtis Day (Wanda). She is preceded in death by her parents E. R. Day and Estelle Day, brothers Leon Day, D.C. Day and Edwin Day all of Eutaw, Alabama, and grandson Alexander Pritchett.
A memorial service is planned for January 6, 2024 Visitation 10-11 and service at 11 at First Baptist Church of Bay Minette, 1201 Hand Avenue, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to her beloved church—or the Auburn University NIL fund as she felt a strong need for receivers who can actually catch a football-LOL!
