Margaret Louise Goram, age 80, born in Stapleton, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Crowne Health Care North Baldwin. She was a retired seamstress at Mannor Slacks and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John Calvin Goram of Bay Minette, AL; her children, Sharon (BJ) Palmer of Lottie, AL, Beth (Ray) Long of Bay Minette, AL, Karen (Dana) Giordano of Bay Minette, AL and Ellen (David) Maraman of Gateswood; four brothers, Ronnie (Karen) Byrd of White House Fork, Kenneth (Theresa) Byrd of Stapleton, AL, Junior (Ladda) Byrd of Bay Minette, AL and Clayton (Donna) Byrd of Stapleton, AL; six sisters, Robin Crossland of Stapleton, AL, Kathy Byrd of Rabun, Eloise (Bill) Schafer of Rabun, Odenia Biggs of Stapleton, AL, Vivian White of Bay Minette, AL and Elizabeth (Charles) Horne of Rabun; eight grandchildren, Bryan Palmer, Jene Palmer, Brandon Palmer, Devon Long, Marlee Bailey, Mary Beth Mosely, Jessica Mosley and Kayla Giordano; eight great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kayden, Benjamin, Brock, Willow, River, Raymie and Tucker and one great great granddaughter, Hazleigh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac Briton “IB” and Leona Elizabeth Bass Byrd and a great granddaughter, Katelyn Palmer.
Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Chaplain Dan Cresswell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Palmer, Jene Palmer. Brandon Palmer, Devon Long, Dana Giordano, David Maraman and Benjamin Palmer.
