Madeline Howell Treadway, age 85, born in the Halls Fork Community died Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Fairhope Health and Rehab. She was a retired human resource director and a journalist.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Denise (Dennis) Carmer of Stapleton, AL and siblings, Evelyn Howell (Ray) Stanley of Fayetteville, GA, Bonnie Howell Heaton of Steinhatchee, FL and Julius A. (Donna) Howell of Halls Fork.
She was preceded in death by a son, Benson Ray Jones; a sister, Patricia Howell Lindsey and her parents, Julius Elvin and Annie Mae Walker Howell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Minister Don Roley officiating. Burial will follow at McCullough Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Lindsey, Tracy Heaton, Craig Hammer, Burt Bray, Jamie Howell and Tim Heaton.
