Lois V. Porter, age 76, born in Little River, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at her residence. She retired from Wal-Mart where she worked in the bakery. She was known as the
"Peace Maker" of the family. She strongly believed in Jesus and has gone home to her Savior,
She is survived by; two daughters, Sonya (Scott) Kimrey and Elizabeth (Ashley) Witherington; one son, Willie (Lisa) Joiner, Jr.; one brother, Edward Porter; three sisters, Mary Hyde, Judy Perry and Itra Foster; one granddaughter, Wilhelminia (Robert) Joiner and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Porter, Fannie Wade and Patricia Walker; one brother, Jack Porter and a granddaughter, Jasmine Joiner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God with Revered Randall Short officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God.
Pallbearers will be Billy Perry, Chris Perry, Jackson “Bubba” Porter, Billy Wayne Joiner, Noble Joiner and Larry Joiner. Honorary pallbearer will be Anel Ortiz
