Lisa Fox Jeffers, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 12, 2024. A native of Bay Minette, Alabama, and daughter of Lawrence Fox and Mary Elaine Blackmon Fox, she never ceased to serve as a bright light for all.
Lisa made many friends behind the tellers' window at Wells Fargo on the Square, formerly Wachovia and SouthTrust, where her soft-spoken nature could make chatting for hours pass like minutes. It was that composure and smile that caught her late husband's eye.
Once married, she started her most-cherished job of all: Mothering her three children. Lisa's drive, generosity, and unwavering love for her family ensured they'd always have what they wanted and needed — no matter if it was on her last dime.
She enjoyed going to the cinema and scouring every store aisle for the best deals. She loved walking the length of Alabama's beaches looking for seashells to display in her home. She leaves behind cataloged precious memories of her travels and sweet family milestones she captured on her camera. Lisa was resilient and strong, but gentle at all times.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 32 years, Dennis Honree Jeffers.
Lisa is survived by her children Kyle Stephen Jeffers (Mellissa Jeffers) of Raymond, Washington, Tyler Cole Jeffers (Lily Jackson) of Mobile, and Emily Jeffers Smith (Ryan Smith) of Daphne. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Forrest Smith (6), Virginia Smith (4), and Sailor Smith (2 months).
The family wishes to thank the staff at University Hospital in Mobile for their dedicated care of their mother, especially nurse Abby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Emily Jeffers, at 110 5th Street, Apt. C202, Daphne, Alabama, 36526 for extensive medical expenses.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Schoen, Blake Agerton, Brent Jeffers, Burt Jeffers, Nick Jeffers and Ricky Jeffers.
