Lauree Coleman Parker, age 87, a native of Semmes, Al and a resident of Bay Minette for the past 70 years, died Saturday, July 31, 2021 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
She was a retired union representative for the United Garment Workers of America and the UFWC. She was also retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education as a school bus driver and special education aide. Her family has always said she could work circles around anyone and that was evident when after retirement she spent her time working at Hickey’s Inc. and Streets restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Henry H. Parker of 50 years; her parents, Denny C. and Muriel Coleman, one sister, Edna Moorer; two brothers, Edward and D.C. Coleman; and two sons-in-law, Wayne Trusty and Bob Guy.
She is survived by her three daughters, Judy Trusty of Bay Minette, Jean (Darrell) Hicks of Perdido, and Rita Guy (Wayne Clark) of Bay Minette; five Grandchildren, Cindy (Brandon) Dortch, Trent Trusty, Cathy (Matt) Robinson, Jade (Stacey) Dunn, and Bobby Dunn; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Nelson of Robertsdale and two brothers John and David Coleman both of Bay Minette.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Bryars-McGill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Bobby Dunn, Micheal Dunn, Pate Robinson, Parker Robinson, Jackson Dortch, and Coleman Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers: Rian Coleman, Mary Ruth Dortch, Ana Chesley Robinson, and Leo Trusty.
