Larry Mack Reid

Larry Mack Reid, age 77, a native of Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Silverhill, AL passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his residence.

Larry was a retired equipment operator for Kaiser Aluminum and proudly served over 60 years in various capacities to the Boy Scouts of America including Scout Master to Troop 177 in Spanish Fort. An Eagle Scout himself, Larry served on the Eagle Board of Review of Baldwin County. Larry most enjoyed his time of fellowship, service, and food with the Men’s Group at Silverhill Baptist Church.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eugene and Nellie Mae Reid.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judith T. Reid; a daughter, Janet L. Reid of Fairhope, AL; two stepsons, Damon (Amy) Reed of Hoover, AL and Byron (Ashley) Reed of LaGrange, GA and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Silverhill Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Rothe officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service at Silverhill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Roland Howell, Ronnie Murray. Steve Phumphrey, Joe Ramage, Ray Rider and Johne Thame.

Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to the Silverhill Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 246, Silverhill, AL 36576.
