Karen Byrd Obituary

Karen Lynn Byrd, age 69, born in Mobile, AL to Eddie and Evelyn Summerlin and a resident of the White House Fork Community died Saturday, September 21, 2024 at her residence. She retired from Baldwin County Board of Education as the building and grounds manager at Delta Elementary.

She is survived by husband, Ronnie Byrd of White House Fork; her children, Amanda (Shane) Whatley of White House Fork, Travis (Amber) Byrd of White House Fork and Justin (Kayla) Byrd of Tanner Williams; two brothers, Jimmy Hendrix of Augusta, GA and Curtis (Crystal) Summerlin of Loxley, AL; one sister, Nancy Harris of Loxley, AL; grandchildren, Shani, Rebecca, Dylan (Madison), Ayden, Ava, Addyson, Marcie and Lakeleigh and great grandchildren, Hannah, Madilynn and Warren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great granddaughter, Kayleigh.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend John Soutullo officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Travis Byrd, Dylan Whatley, Curtis Summerlin, William Weaver, Braxton McDuffie and Justin Byrd. Honorary pallbearer will be Benny Green.
