Judith "Judy" (Sibley) Kostelecky

Judith “Judy” Sibley Kostelecky, age 83, a native and resident of Stapleton, AL died Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Thomas Hospital. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Gavin Wade Kostelecky of Gulf Shores, AL and Laura Gwen Kostelecky Burks of Fairhope, AL; five sisters, Jean Adcock of Spanish Fort, AL, Martha Fisher of Millbrook, AL, Bonnie Glaze of Millbrook, AL, Connie (Kendall) Gordon of Stapleton, AL and Robin Sibley of Stapleton, AL and two grandchildren, Reagan Kostelecky and Rhett Kostelecky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Kostelecky; a granddaughter, Sarah Kathryn Burks and her parents, Robert and Murkey Corine Head Sibley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stapleton Methodist Church with Reverend George Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at the Stapleton Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 15, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Stapleton Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Parks Glaze, Jonathan T. Adcock, Charles Head, Eric Glass, Jerry Kostelecky, Jr and Keith Weigbach. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Smith, Leon Taylor, Jerry Head, Jerry Glaze, Bob Kostelecky, Sr., Roger Cunningham, Boyce Mosley, Punk Jackson, Kendall Gordon, John Gaines and Kaleb Glass.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Sarah Kathryn Burks Foundation, 158 Short Street, Fairhope, AL 36532.
