Judith Elaine Heaton Barr, 80, of Bay Minette, AL, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.
Judy was born on March 9, 1945, in Bay Minette, AL. She lived a Christ-centered life, working as an insurance agent, faithfully singing in her church choir, and hosting family gatherings that brought joy to all who knew her.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and “Granny.” She is survived by her husband, Lual, with whom she shared 60 beautiful years of marriage. She is also survived by two daughters, Audrey (Stephen) Jackson of Monroeville, AL, and Michele Bowman of Bay Minette, AL; six grandchildren, Joshua Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, Kyle Bowman, Joseph Jackson, Jacob Jackson, and Anna Leigh Bowman; two great-grandchildren, Trevyn and Brinnley; her three beloved sisters, Betty, Daisy, and Pam; and many nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dib Heaton and Bertha Murphy.
The family is deeply grateful to Community Hospice Nurse Beth Hicks for her kindness and compassionate care over the last three and a half years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Bay Minette, AL, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL.
