Joyce (Steedley) Sutton

Eloise Joyce Steedley Sutton, age 93, born in Clark County, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, April 16, 2026 at her residence. She was retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education.

She is survived by her children, Dianne Sutton Crabtree of Bay Minette, AL and John (Melissa) Sutton of Stockton, AL; her siblings, Irma Mae Steedley Kern of Myrtle Beach, SC, Emory Clay Steedley of Sacramento, CA and Dwight Moody Steedley of Creola, AL; seven grandchildren, Gabriel Boatright, Jennifer Campbell, Kimberly Crabtree Cain, Samuel Boatright, Katherine Anne Crabtree Priddy, Michael Sutton and Tyler Sutton; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Relps Sutton; two daughters, Rita Jean Sutton Campbell and Carla Joyce Sutton Lambert; a grandson, John Mark Campbell and four sisters, Mary Katherine Steedley, Jeanette Mellown, Anne Kennedy and Laverne Steedley.

Graveside services and burial will be held Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Stockton Memorial Cemetery with Lisa Galloway officiating.
