Joy Marie (Davis) Whitfield

Joy Marie Davis Whitfield, age 81, born in Biloxi, MS and a resident of Stockton, AL died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at her residence. She was a retired parts buyer at Scott Paper Company.

She is survived by her husband, Glen A. Whitfield, Jr. of Stockton, AL; one son, Jordan c. Whitfield of Stockton, AL; two daughters, Leslie R. (Marc) Shores of Foley, AL and Cassandra J. Whitfield of Fairhope, AL; three brothers, Mike (Charlie) Davis of Dallas, TX, Jon (Mary) Davis of Whistler, AL and R. Paul (Rena) Davis of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Billy J. (Teresa) Saranthus, Zakeri Whitfield, Ariel Rogers and Tori Rogers and four great grandchildren, Elisa Saranthus, Lexi Dira, Hagen Saranthus and Nialani Saranthus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Eugene and Florence Elizabeth Pace Davis.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 2, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church.
