Joseph Franklin Green, III

Joseph Franklin Green, III, age 88, a native and resident of Mobile, AL died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at North Baldwin Infirmary. He was the co-owner of Betty Jo’s Garden Center in Mobile for 49 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during Korea.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Joyce Taylor Green of Mobile, AL and one brother, Johnny Marcet of Jackson, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Franklin Green, II and Verner Austin Green and a brother, Oscar Marcet.

Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veteran Cemetery with Reverend Mike Bedford officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rob Taylor, Verdis Hudson, Blake Gibson, Reed Price-Haase, Wayne Abercrombie and Wesley Price. Honorary pallbearers will be A.R. Grimes, Wallace Webster and Hyden Price-Haase 

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the William F. Green State Veterans Home, 300 Faulkner Drive, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
