Jonathan Valverde Obituary

Jonathan Martin Valverde, age 33, born in Mobile, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his residence. He was a laborer at Warner Turf. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Afghanistan War.

He is survived by his parents, Kathy Knight Cabaniss and Johnny Cabaniss of Bay Minette, AL; two brothers, Jamin Valverde of Yazoo City, MS and Buzz (Gabby Allen) Cabaniss of Spanish Fort, AL; one sister, Kaytlin Valverde of Bay Minette, AL; grandparents, Jon and Elaine Knight of Springhill, AL; uncle, Jon (Charlin) Knight, Jr; aunts, Deborah Cabaniss and Mary Ann Benefield and great niece, Olivia Knight.

He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Miguel Valverde; grandparents, Bannie Cabaniss and Mattie Valverde and great grandmother, Mary Crane.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. service at First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Giles, Mike Jones, John Byrd, Garrett Stewart, Sam Anderson, Shane Crowson, Ross Caraway and Tommy Collier.

Due to health concerns of others, the family ask that you please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

In lie of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to any religious charity of your choice.
