Jonathan Owens Hartley

Jonathan Owens Hartley, age 40, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at his residence from complications of a Traumatic Brain Injury and failing health. He was born July 3, 1979 in Fairhope, AL. Jon attended Daphne High School and Jefferson Davis. He had a love for the game of baseball in which he was a pitcher during his high school and college years. As one of his classmates said “Jon could light up a room.” Jon’s greatest influence was his Dad. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

Jon is survived by his parents, Dan and Kay Hartley; grandfather, Billy Owens and many aunts, uncles and cousins whom he was very close to.

Jon was preceded in death by his younger brother, Ben Hartley, whom he loved dearly; his grandmother, Katheryn Woodard Owens; his grandfather, Eugene Hartley and his grandmother, Margaret Biggs George.

Due to Government regulations, a private service will be held for immediate family at Norris Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that during this time of uncertainty that contributions be made to those in need throughout the community.
