John H Edwards

John H. Edwards, age 82, born in Pontotoc, MS and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at his residence. He was a retired printer for the Mobile Press Register.

He is survived by one daughter, Sonya L. Moody of Kimberly, AL; one son, Shannon D. (Sherri) Steadham of Creola, AL; four grandchildren, Micah Steadham, Ethan Steadham, Erica Moody (Justin) Wilder and Erin Moody and two great grandchildren, Kamden Steadham and Kalem Steadham.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Phillipy Edwards and a son-in-law, Eric Moody.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Steadham, Justin Wilder, Ethan Steadham, Micah Steadham, Christopher Phillipy and Tom Hartner.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
