John Wiley Davis, Sr., age 77, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of the White House Fork Community died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver for International Paper Company.
He is survived by his children, Sarah (David) Peak of Pine Grove, Angela (Scottie Arnould) Davis of White House Fork and Johnny (Tammy) Davis, Jr. of White House Fork; special friend, Christine Powell of Crossroads; two brothers, Elijah Davis of White House Fork and Joe Davis of Crossroads; one sister, Patricia Howard of Bay Minette, AL; the mother of his children, Mary Davis Shiver of White House Fork; grandchildren, Allen (Bridget) Peak, Crystal (Logan Joiner) Peak, Tyler (Caitlin) Davis, Riley (Cody Byrd) Davis, Drew Davis, Zachary (Kalee) Doege, Hali (Evan) Hadley and Shana (Jamie Howell) Hall and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lakelynn, Addyson, Jaxson, Halle, Chloe, Conner, Cadyn, Cambryn and Tinsleigh.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Williams Roberts, Alfred “Obie” Davis, Marvin “Buster” Davis, Jerry W. Davis, Margaret Cox and Emily Anne Goram.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend J.P. Lambert and Reverend Tony Banning officiating. Burial will follow at White House Fork Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Williams, Rusty Williams, Alfred Wallace, Alton Wallace, Obie Davis and Mike Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Rider, Scott Williams, Greg Vinson, Larry Rook, Bo Bryars and Virgil McMillan.
