John McArthur Collins

John McArthur Collins, age 80, a native and resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at North Baldwin Infirmary. He was a retired plant operator at International Paper Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Dasie McClain Collins of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Wesley (Manda) Collins of Stapleton, AL, Melissa (John) Garner of Bay Minette, AL and Aaron (Tara) Collins of Pensacola, FL; two sisters, Hazel Hollinhead Goins and Beulah Short of White House Fork; six grandchildren, Dillon Collins of Stapleton, AL, Austin (Alex) Garner of Huntsville, AL, Hunter Heathcock of Stapleton, AL, Garrett Collins of Pensacola, FL, Landon Collins of Pensacola, FL and Nathan Garner of Bay Minette, AL and two great grandchildren, Willow Collins and Raylan Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Gladys Phillips Collins and siblings, Jimmy Alexander, Phil Alexander, Constance Green, Charlie Alexander and Lizzie Huffman.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bay Assembly of God with Reverend Steve Pettis and Reverend Joe Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 7, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Bay Assembly of God.

Pallbearers will be Dillon Collins, Austin Garner, Hunter Heathcock, Garrett Collins, Landon Collins and Nathan Garner. Honorary pallbearer will be Alex Hicks.
