William Jody Bass, age 38, born in Bay Minette, AL and a resident of Stapleton, AL died Monday, May 4, 2026.
Jody was loved and respected by everyone in his family, church, and community. Selfless and caring, he always put the needs of others before his own, and found joy in the simple things in life. A deeply spiritual man, he regularly reflected on Scripture and lived a life rooted in prayer. Through his generous spirit he built lasting friendships both in person and online. Professionally, he left his mark on the community as the longtime Managing Partner of the Homepro Lumber and Hardware store in Stapleton, AL. We cherish the memories of Jody daily creating spectacular conversations one on one with his customers whom he loved.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Dumas Bass of Gulf Shores, AL; his father and stepmother, William L. “Bill” and Gail Bass; his siblings, Ashley Bass (Bobby) Greger of Grand Bay, AL, Shelly Elizabeth Bass of Tampa, FL, Liam Bass of Stapleton, AL and Leonna Bass of Stapleton, AL and numerous other relatives and friends.
