Jimmy Floyd Watson, age 72, born in Monroeville, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Covenant Hospice in Mobile. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Rose L. Clark Watson of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Hope Annette Wright of Mexia, AL; one brother, Thomas Wesley Watson of Mexia, AL; one sister, Lauren Watson of Goodway, AL; stepchildren, Jennifer Conway and Wade Smith; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Austin) McKinley and Kameron (Patience Ramsdale) Wright; three great grandchildren, Hazel Grace McKinley, Allen Jasper “AJ” Wright and Raechelle Renee Wright and step grandchildren, Daniel Mark Smith, Clay Smith, Ashleigha Smith, Brittany Woodruff and Daniel Conway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Thomas and Mamie Lou Ikner Watson and a sister, Patricia Gentry.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Paul officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. until the 1:30 p.m. service at New Life Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to new Life Baptist Church, 49535 Rabun Road, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
